| HP netbook (10 inch screen and < 3 lbs). I decided my laptop was too big and heavy to come travelling with me. It's staying at home while this little blue one accompanies me. |

The one thing I don't think I want to compromise on is my DSLR camera. It's such a giant heavy thing, but I think that I would miss it like mad if I didn't bring it with me! I'm going to take my little camera too. ACK! There are so many things I need to pack and bring with me!
And ugh. I really hate how easily I buy into the whole excessive consumerism mindset. As soon as I walk into a store with pretty, shiny things, all I want to do is bring them all home with me! I hate being one of those people, but I always have been and I'm afraid that at this point I always will be.
I'm hoping to blog during my travels, and I'm probably going to start a blog specifically for that (it's more for my family and friends to be able to keep tabs on me). I'll let you know if I do!

Oooohh pretty blue HP netbook! I'd love to get one but I'll have to wait until my EeePC conks out. And a good call too, full sized laptop = big and heavy = so not worth it.
I'm one of THOSE people too... fortunately for my budget I won't be doing any shopping until the end of the month...
You must be getting super excited by now? Have you decided day of departure?
