Very hippie

I wore this on a fairly lazy weekend day. It definitely made me feel like a gypsy.

Wearing the green dress

This is what I wore on my last day of work. Since I had just finished my green dress, I wanted to wear it, and I thought I might as well get a little fancy on my last day!

And just because I like how my butt looks in this dress, here's a gratuitous butt shot:

Jeans with a corset top

This was an outfit I wore to work a while back. It's nice to be able to work in a casual office and wear what you want but I still try to look professional!

I was trying to have a little fun with this photo shoot, but I just ended up looking pretty silly. Haha!

Summer Project: Olive Green dress

So I've got my hostels booked, and I'm in the process of packing, so I'm headed off to Norway tomorrow. I started a blog about my travels, so you're welcome to check it out if you want to hear more about what I'm up to at charlottewantstotravel.blogspot.com.

In other news, I chipped the nail polish off my left index finger, so I'm going to remove alllll of it later. I suck at wearing nail polish.

I actually finished this dress last Wednesday, and wore it on Thursday. I made it from the same pattern that I used for my Betty Draper dress (just with the 2nd skirt option). I absolutely love how it turned out. It fits really well.

The best part about this fabric is that I've actually had it for years (maybe 7?). I got it for cheap ($3-$6, I can't remember) because it was a scrap, but I never knew what to do with it. I had lots of ideas over the years, but nothing ever seemed quite right.

Then all of a sudden this summer when I got out that vintage pattern to make my Betty dress, it struck my that a shorter version of dress #2 with a chunky exposed zipper would be absolutely perfect for this fabric! And it was! The fabric is a deep olive colour, stretchy and looks a bit like leather, so I can pretty easily dress it up or down. I think I'll be wearing this quite a bit!

I don't know how much I'll be able to blog while I'm travelling, so I'm going to schedule a few posts, and hopefully I'll be back to regular posting after I get to England on October 2nd!

Pink nails

Today I spent a lot of time planning my trip to Norway, Denmark and Sweden! I have to gt up really early tomorrow to set up for the bike tour that my work is holding. It's my last day! I have tons to do before I leave on Tuesday, so this is a quick post (and new nail polish)!

Snip, snip

I got a haircut today. It was long overdue. I don't think the hairdresser was very impressed with how dry my ends were, she just kept saying "Yeah, that needs to go." Hahaha. It was basically just a trim, but she shortened it a couple inches and changes the layers. I always want my hair to be looooong, but it seems to grow really slowly, so I hate getting it cut! Now it seems so much shorter! I do like how it turned out though, it looks a lot better, it just feels short!

My red streak has faded so much! :( Too bad.

So much less scraggly! And that white dot on my arm is a sticker that my 3 year old friend gave me!
